Challenges Facing Bhutan

 

 

1. Deforestation- Forests are being destroyed in several parts of the country.

 

 

2. Illegal and unsustainable wildlife exploitation - Some animals such as the musk deers, tigers, and leopards are being killed to make products for the market.

 

 

3. Unsustainable agriculture- Livestocks quantities ultrapass the carrying capacity of land. This can cause loss of species.
