
Brief History
Bhutan’s historical allie is India, when India was in war with Britain, India sent soldiers to the country that is now Bhutan, but before it was a part of India. Bhutan's historic enemy is Tibet, because Tibet was the only country that tried to colonize Bhutan. Bhutan never was a colonial rule, but before, Bhutan was part of another country. In August, 1947, India became independent from Britain, so Bhutan had the choice to become independent or to join Indian Union.Bhutan chose to be independent. Bhutan never colonized other countrie, but however, was already part of a country that was India. In 1972, the King Jigme Dorji’s death, his son Jigme Singye Wangchuck stayed in his place. In 1974, Bhutan created its own monetary system.
